@ilikelookingatthings left a very long and question filled essay about Angel!Lu AU in the replies so now its time to delve into More Info about the AU! @fallenguitarhero is my Adam so I got his input for all the Adam-related parts of this. Under a cut because.... this is Very Long LOL (bonus art at the end)

I'm going to just Copy-Paste the answers I got when we discussed it

I do think that Adam actually subconsciously shifts blame to Lilith because he's very black and white in his views. He hates devil Luci but he thinks he can prevent angel Lu from going down that path if he just keeps them apart. Lute also believes this and ngl her view of Lilith is like...really awful internalized misogyny type shit. Both of them think its better the two never meet and Lute outright threatens Lilith to stay away. Adam is too possessive to try and shift Lu to someone else but he does like... try to push Lu back into friendship type feels. Adam is a dumbass about sexuality so he thinks if he brings Lu to do Masculine and Straight things it will fix this. Instead he ends up just spending even more time with him and making it worse. As for his trauma... yeah Adam tries to hide it. Mostly by changing the subject and acting like an asshole tbh. I've thought abt Lu finding out about Cain and Abel p much by mistake (maybe saw artwork of it, all the hell related stuff is hidden but they wouldnt think to hide art of Adam holding Abel's body or Cain's exile) and it breaking his little baby heart. Adam def has moments where like... his mind is busy w something else like a bad day or a nightmare and for a second he sees the devil instead of his angel. Adam always like... 'shit, sorry, i thought you were someone else- fuck, don't look at me like that, c'mon.' There are other issues he just... doesn't realize he needs to hide. They're right about Adam being cynical and like... telling himself Lu doesn't really love him. Even once they date, he's still insecure. At that point i think he'd tell Lu about Lilith leaving him for a friend of his (whose name he never gives) and his marriage with Eve ending badly. He avoids details. He prob talks way more about his kids and prob even introduces Lu to them... Lu being around might encourage him to work on his relationship with them. Adam's body dysmorphia is such a contrast from the Adam Lu knew before... i do think that with him hiding so much from Lu, he tries to make it up to him by making sure his life is perfect. He goes out of his way to keep his angel happy and his attitude spreads to his exorcists who accept Lu into their flock. tbh Adam's dynamic with them prob becomes way healthier over time due to Lu's influence. i think Adam does tell the truth about some things but leaves out the details. Like he says evil found earth and destroyed Eden but says it hurts too much to talk about it (not a lie) and tells Lu that it's why the exorcists exist, they protect heaven and the dead humans from it. Which is what the official story is anyway! i think Lu prob has the same info the average low ranking Heavenborne and winners do. If Lu pushed him too much Adam might admit there are things he can't tell him but frame it as a military thing - there are things only Michael, Adam and the high ranking exorcists can know. He feels a lot of guilt about lying. it weighs on him a lot. that and the stress of protecting Lu from his brothers honestly makes Adam act more subdued and tired than canon Adam. His eyebags are awful. It prob becomes obvious as time goes on that Adam is Not Well. He keeps his mask on for a looong time after the first time bc it helps him hide his feelings and self-regulate but when he finally takes it off it's obvious to Lu from how he looks that Adam is struggling mentally. Comparing him to how he looked in Eden makes it so clear.

For Lu's part of things. Of course he'd ask about Lilith. Especially after finding out that so long has passed and Adam is here, so Lilith is probably here too, right? I feel like because he missed... So much, the concept of Death to him still doesn't really sink in. Like even with the Sins, it's basically like he just Knows he can't See them again. So with Lilith its like Adam has to just lie the same as with Anyone else from Hell. And Lu is definitely heartbroken about Lilith being Gone.

And like, at the time, Adam isn't lying so he doesn't feel Guilty about it, he just feels bad seeing Lu so upset. The timeline of this is kinda indeterminate but it definitely is Earlier than the 7 years of Lilith being in Heaven. So when he first Appears, she hasn't left Hell yet. Who knows, Charlie may not have even been born yet at that point. There's no Solid point in Time for Lu to have appeared in Heaven, it's just... Earlier. He doesn't think to Look for her because he knows that if she's Not Already There, then she's Inaccessible. Otherwise Adam would have told him, he's sure of it. (Adam has no obligation to tell Lu when Lilith does get there and for the reasons stated above + the fact that the Elder Angels probably would try and deter any interaction between the two. he's left in the Dark about her arriving in Heaven. He doesn't know Adam has even made a Deal with anyone) He still misses her because Adam is Truly the only friend from When he's from left.

And tbh the mixed signals are what keeps Hope Alive for Lu. As much as he tries to be okay with friendship, he still wants more because he's In Love and Adam is the only thing that makes him feel Normal when his entire life and everything he knew was entirely up-ended. It's why he's so passive about it. He doesn't want to make Adam feel bad, but he sees Adam being so Conscious of him now and it makes him happy. He doesn't wanna Push it, but he still likes seeing that Adam is Aware of him like that now. Especially because it's not in a way where Adam is trying to push him away, Adam is actively spending more time with him!

The longer time passes, the more discontent Lu grows. Knowing he's being lied to/that things are being hidden, even by Adam, he is Curious and he wants to learn more. But he also isn't going to be reckless about Learning More. The thing is also he Doesn't Know what questions he should be asking. He could ask Winners things and get answers, its not like anyone would stop him from Talking to Winners, its part of his Job. But like... How would he even start to figure out what's Missing in his knowledge?

Also Lu is definitely Aware of how different Adam is from his Eden self. Like just Visually, it's so easy to separate them because Adam wears his mask. But when its just the two of them and Adam is maskless, Lu may be more susceptible to treating him like that. But he's also very aware of the fact that actually their Knowledge Base is completely flipped. Lu hardly knows anything and Adam knows Everything.

And like.... Lu Knows that being kept in the dark is probably 'for his own good' but as stated, the person who fell is Still him. So now instead of resenting/being upset that Humans were kept in the dark, now it's himself. There's no Fruit That Will Fix Things for him though. He's just left frustrated at his lack of agency in this. And honestly, what keeps in line Most is Fear. Since coming to this time, his family has been Nicer to him, he's actually getting along to some degree with his brothers who used to ridicule him (or worse) and he Knows it's only because he's 'behaving' now, now that Creation is over and Life Has Existed. And he's scared or what will happen if he steps too out of line. He doesn't have the refuge of going to Eden to visit the Humans if things go south with his siblings. He isn't allowed on Earth, he's confined to Heaven, so he would just be stuck with the same sort of things that ultimately drove him originally to commit the Sin of giving Eve the Apple (not that he's Aware of how it culminated) And Also he has Adam. He doesn't want to know what the consequences would be if they were to decide that they shouldn't be allowed to stay together. It would absolutely break him.

If Lu were to find out about the exterminations, he'd be just as Appalled by it as Emily was. Lu doesn't know about Sin, what that entails, how Sinners destroy everything. He hasn't had to live with it so he can't see any contempt or justification for their destruction. Lucifer hates them because they came in a ruined the world he tried to build in Hell. Lu doesn't have any such associations with them. He would just see them much like Charlie does, souls who made mistakes and who should be given the chance to Do Better and make up for it. (That's sort of what he is, in a way, too.) He would absolutely be upset and scold the fuck out of Adam and Lute if he knew what his besties were REALLY doing once a year-

As for the sexual stuff, Both Lucifers started without having a concept of sex or sexuality, so both of them are specifically shaped by their partners (literally in a way). So the Lucifer who learned and explored with Lilith is going to be completely different from the Lucifer who learned and explored with Adam in terms of How they have sex. It's a skill they learn by doing, so it's not the Same.

Now, I have a few ideas/questions for you guys :3

Do you think that maybe the killer of the ghost (e.g: Leon can see Sayaka) and one other person can see the ghost. Like... it means they're the next to die, but they don't know that? I feel like the fact that Leon can see Sayaka when she dies is cool, but what if Chihiro saw Leon and only Leon. Not Junko/Mukuro, not Sayaka, but Leon. He/she is confused and that's why they blame themself for Leon's death in the second chapter.

(I feel like Leon would be a very vengeful spirit at the start, like screaming and crying and blaming Sayaka and whatever, and that's the only part Chihiro sees. Then Leon calsm down and is chill asf when Chihiro joins the suicide squad group.)

Following on from the above idea, Mondo sees Chihiro only. Then he dies, and Kiyotaka sees Mondo. THIS EXPLAINS THE KIYONDO COMPLEX STUFF!!! Taka is overjoyed to see his bro again and he probably went to the craft room to die because like... he misses his bf.

Now heading over to SDR2, do you think the people who indirectly caused the character deaths could see ghosts too? Like Sonia could see Hiyoko (she suggested she go to the music venue to tie her kimono sash, then she got whooped by Mikan) or maybe Akane could see Nekomaru (he jumped in her way and took a goddam bazooka shot for that girl) Nagito could probably see Byakuya and he'd be like "erm why are you not Byakuya Togami???", Chiaki seeing Nagito would be an interesting one tbh.

Sorry, just discovered your public knowledge au, its hilarious. I think 'realistically' I like the Only Miraculous wielders & whoever they tell knows version as it could feel a bit less cracky though it'd still beg why they don't bring other heroes in to collectively stomp Gabriel as they know his location. Though that just has me imagining him palming it off on his various rich friends like a hot potato. Anyway two main thoughts:

`1: For the just Holders know AU, Gabriel owns up to his motives right away & almost convinces the kids. Except Fu shows up & reveals that its basically a monkeys paw and more people will die if he makes is wish. Gabriel insists he s smart enough to work around that (He also just doesn't care) but Tikki & Plagg are like, "Literally we have no control over this, it goes to shit every single time, sorry."

In essence, its his ego and control freak nature that mean Gabriel refuses to give up even when he and everyone else know he should quit. Its probably kind of a sad/rough start for Adrien especially, but also leads to very quick positive vibes with Marinette & more direct mentorship.

Guel's reservation about Suletta heading to QZ is understandable but as she says, it's her choice. And Mio won't let anyone else decide Suletta's fate as she did before. Didn't expect this quick Shaddiq convo. I like how he recognizes instantly that Mio is better because of Suletta. It's very in character for him to accept Suletta's importance in Mio's life without resentment. I am wondering at the deal Mio makes with him. What could he possibly do for her? At first I thought this was the sweetest thing. I still think it's sweet, but I also find the phrasing incredibly... weird. Not 'I'll always love you?' 'Always be with you'? Instead 'I will always be attached to you'. Could be nothing but it still sounds vaguely ominous. And it's coded in the genetic sequence of her tomatoes all things. The hell were you doing Notrette? Nice nod to mythology here though. Anesidora is an epithet for Demeter, an agricultural goddess, and Pandora. And like Pandora, Notrette unwittingly released evil in the form of QZ and possibly collaborated with Prospera to upload Ericht's biometric signature.

Aww farmer wives on Earth please! Still don't like Suletta only smiles when Mio declares anything future related. I get the rudest feeling she's not making hard promises because she's too aware of the peril. They look so happy here, so imma ignore the danger signs and just bask in their affection.

Mio forcing aside her own fear to support Suletta was so good. She was so relieved when Suletta broke Permet 5 alive, bursting into tears afterward. It was rough for me to hear Suletta gasping in pain, so I can't imagine how Mio must've felt. I don't ever want to see people claim she doesn't love Suletta ever again

I have thoughts on Calibarn's design (Utena spoilers) and place in the plot, but for this review I'll just say it looks neat. I wish it was a bit more unique, but it makes sense they need it to resemble its sibling plus its obvious Vanadis roots. That boom broomstick is super cool though!

I enjoyed Prospera's muted reaction here. She's surprised by Calibarn but not intimidated or angry. I'm sure she has complete faith in Eri's ability to handle this hurdle and her daughter's commitment to the plan. She must know Eri loves Suletta, but assumes it ultimately won't change a thing. For now, at least.

You know, I expected Lauda to lose it but I didn't expect him to be this stupid lol. You can't even use the damn GUND format idiot, you really think you'll beat your brother? Ah and Eri peeks her GUND ghost form out to say hello before clashing with Suletta. This is an incredible shot, love the visuals as always. If it goes full Utena as I suspect, we'll see Eri break/override Calibarn. The name of a holy sword bashing at the Gwitch Rose Gate doesn't bode well. What that means for Suletta is anyone's guess, but I have faith she'll live. I fully expect her to get assistance of some kind. Hot take!!! (Nuclear tbh)

People are way too shitty to the LW devs, especially Yumeno Rote.

This guy is responsible for every single piece of non-story card character art in the game, that includes units, costumes, alts, expressions, Music Video CGs, etc. Seeing as a new unit is released per week, along with 2/4 event costumes and 2/3 rebirth costumes at the end of the month, this guy is at MINIMUM drawing 8 fully detailed illustrations and backgrounds per month, for three and a half years straight.

The only other gacha to my knowledge that has one artist doing all the character art like this is Limbus Company, which even then has a significantly longer period between new art being added to the game. (I'm aware there are likely a lot more, but most to my knowledge have multiple artists)

So when I see a post criticising Lost Word, what do you think is being criticised 90% of the time?

Is it:

The fact it's a gacha game

Genuine criticism of the game itself and its mechanics or story

Hell, even criticism of the questionable work practice of having one guy do all the game's art

If you guessed 4, "near insignificant nitpick of Rote's art, AUs shown, or a VA (in a game where you can pick from 3 for every character) because it doesn't fit within their headcanon in a game about multiple different universes" you'd be correct!

Don't get me wrong, I have seen the first two plenty of times, but they're always either fair critiques or people who just don't want anything to do with gacha games and don't care which is understandable.

But for 4? The sheer amount of hatred and seething vitriol people express for details most people wouldn't think twice about is insane to me. It never seems to come from a sincere place of disappointment but rather fear to fit in, like "Oh this relates to me, I better lay in to it as much as possible since everyone else shits on it, wouldn't want to give people the impression I'm weird for liking it after all". It just seems depressing to me that people feel the need to act miserable out of peer pressure and not wanting to stray from the popular opinion.

As someone's who played the game since launch at this point I feel more than qualified to tell you it's FAR from perfect, hell I wouldn't even call it all that good. Gameplay fluctuates from playing the game for you to forcing you to have a full understanding of the meta, grinding is a chore, drop rates are far too low, the nature of the game forcing normally evil aligned characters to act more reasonably, and I unironically think the lack of representation and downright bad writing for Aya until now is singlehandedly responsible for making her drop by one place 3 years in a row in the THVote popularity poll.

So why do I still play it after all this time? Because I genuinely just want to see what they do next. I like seeing what new takes on characters they come up with, I like seeing where the story goes, what the next event will be and I love Rote's art and all the other art contributed by the JP community, I even think the Hifuu and RoM section of the story is genuinely good. It's nice to have a constant and reliable stream of Touhou media to read through in-between the wait for actual new games.

Somehow I don't feel that guy in the middle would want to come on livestreams 3 and a half years after launch if he didn't find it fun, same goes for all the artists and doujin circles that have contributed their art and music, especially those with more than one card or song.

If you want anyone to blame, blame GoodSmile for publishing this game and making this the complete extent they're willing to promote it and Touhou as a whole. (Last new character from them was a Reisen nendo from six years ago btw!)

In conclusion, I think LW has objectively done more good for the series than harm. You can not understate the fact that this game is responsible for introducing Touhou to so many new people and giving the spotlight to characters that are otherwise overlooked. Inaccurate character portrayals are rarely an issue when the series embraces differentiating itself from the source material, that's the nature of doujin culture. That and it seems silly to try and gatekeep people who got into the series through Lost Word, telling them they're experincing it wrong only serves to turn them away and I don't blame newcomers when official touhou media is still hard to come across in the west and the three most popular games in the series still don't have a digital release.

As a tangent, I used to have a problem with how Aya was depicted in a lot of fan media, even from people here, but a friend taught me I shouldn't let those alternate interpretations ruin my enjoyment of her and that I shouldn't fault them for seeing her that way. I feel others should be able to learn from that.

Wasn't sure if I should post it but last night's dream was WILD. Super fucking weird but also fun and pretty neat of an idea for an AU of the boys.

Fucker even went from actual start to finish smoothly, like a goddamn movie. It was one of those POV type of dreams (my favorite if I'm being honest). Meaning I was the OC, not watching the OC. Gods, if only lol.

Also I think my going through my notes last night before bed fueled this. Lol I should do this more often.

It was a fun dream but really sexual, like a lot sexual which sure, ok but at the same time that was weird. Anyway, it started with an accident, like a car crash (those scare me a bit tbh), there's cops everywhere, ambulances, fire and rescue and a bunch of other people. Despite the chaos all I can hear is heavy breathing, the type of heavy breathing you do when you're about to cry your soul out. Jela (I have his pov so all I see is from his pov, so instead of saying me or I I'll just refer to him so it makes sense) is sitting in one of the ambulances but I don't feel like he's grown here. Feels more like a teenager.

He's looking at the car as paramedics pull someone out of the car and as soon as they pull them out of the car they put them in a stretcher and cover them from head to toe and Jela starts crying. Ingvarr shows up and is freaking out as he walks past the car and sees Jela sitting in the ambulance and runs to him. He starts hugging him and crying and then is when he notices his right arm in a sling, gnarly looking gash from his chin to his left cheek and bruises everywhere.

Angelus's grandmother, Katherine, and one of his uncles, Chris, show up and see the wreckage and a body on a stretcher so Katherine runs up and pulls the cover and it's Angelus.

Neither she or Chris cry or freak out. They get visibly mad and look around and see Jelani and run towards him yelling not so very cute phrases and shit at him. Ingvarr gets in front of him to block him from Katherine and Chris who are just raging but you can tell it wasn't coming from a place of care. Honestly, it felt more like they were mad the family dog pissed on their expensive alpaca rug which checks out if you know Angelus's history with his abusers.

So while Jelani's in the hospital Katherine is making moves and talking about pressing charges and trying to get him arrested for "killing her grandson" even though it was an accident. Dream never really covered how it happened so I don't know, you fill in the blank however you want.

She starts mounting all this fucked up "evidence" trying to sabotage his character. I know there's like a legal term for that but I forgot. She went nuts with it. How Jelani's in some Satanic cult (given what he listens to and way he dresses), throws out xenophobic shit because of course she does, saying people in Norway drive different from people in the U.S. and just because he got the learner's permit in Norway doesn't mean he qualified for it in Maine. Was prone to listening to "devil worshipping" music really loudly while driving, was problematic and a trouble in school and everywhere else. Bunch of baseless shit. Was often doing drugs and drinking and he "corrupted" her grandson and turned him gay.

Somehow some strings were pulled and he did a year in juvie. Meanwhile his parents were fighting it and Jelani had fallen into a pretty bad depression. He checked out, he didn't give a shit about what happened to him. At all. He stopped eating to the point where he was force fed, he was cutting himself up (which was something I would've preferred the dream skip over or just have it mentioned, I seriously didn't need to see that from his pov) and was a suicide risk.

After he got out he was messed the fuck up. It was an accident but he blamed himself for it. He was in and out of doctor appointments and counseling but nothing helped and eventually he turned violent. Fell in with the wrong crowd, started staying out for days and nights on end, actually drinking heavily and ignoring school and family.

He got caught when he beat some other kid almost to death but instead of juvie again (not sure if at 17 it would be juvie or actual jail) Katherine made arrangements for him to be thrown into a psychiatric hospital. She really wanted to fuck him up, I guess.

There he meets Trevor and Loke (apparently Jela was an only child in this weird ass dream and it feels fucking weird). Trev and Lo had been there the longest and they took a liking to Jelani even though all he wanted was to be left alone.

The head psychiatrist there was none other than The Halo, which blew my fucking mind. She's a chemist, not a psychiatrist but then again dreams aren't supposed to make sense. Remember that I said the dream was really sexual? Yeah, apparently all Jela would dream of was the last time he and Angelus fucked. On top of that Trevor and Loke would constantly fuck Jelani.

Because of Trev and Lo Jela starts to come out of his shell little by little though he's still adamant on killing himself. That's like his end goal ever since Angelus was killed in that car accident .

Here's the thing tho. Ever since he arrived at that place he heard rumors of experiments on patients, particularly the more violent ones which Jela fit the bill for as well as Trevor and Loke. Dream didn't specify why Trev was in there but Lo was in there for murder.

The dream gets a little choppy here with flashes of scenes of the boys investigating shit and kinda getting close to an answer.

Dream then fasts forward a little bit and the hospital is fucked up, there small fires in some rooms and areas, blood on the walls, dead orderlies and guards and Jela's just staring into a mirror and crying his eyes out while holding a knife up to his neck. He presses down and slices his throat open but as the knife cuts it instantly heals without so much as leaving a scar. Again, not something I needed to see but not like I could control it. He kept doing it over and over in the hopes it would work but Loke and Trevor tell him it's useless, grab him and make their way out before the cops get there. As they leave they see The Halo up in her office smiling.

As the three of them are running away some other teenager joins them saying the experiments were true. The most violent patients were given some type of serum that pretty much turned them immortal to any and all damage and were let loose to wreak havok and destroy all.

((lol that's sort of the plot of The Halo Virus story but instead of psychiatric patients it's divinity infected with a bio weapon.))

So Jela's crying, saying it wasn't fair and that he wants to die, meanwhile Trevor and Loke are practically dragging him out of the building and the city around them is practically burning.

I can see Luther, believing resolutely when Reginald told him that his sister was weak minded and that lead to sickness taking over her mind. That's why she wasn't allowed near them because she wouldn't be able to handle it. Could harm her fragile mind further. So he never questioned quiet little Seven, never felt bad for secluding her from all the other siblings because, it was for her own good. He was protecting her because she needed it.

Diego never thought much of his sister, she was there and that was that. Sometimes she was even fun when they were teenagers and could talk about music. He remembers her harsh attitude when they were little but honestly seeing Vanya/Viktor now, he had trouble believing his own memories. Until the book came out. Then he couldn't believe he doubted himself and becomes convinced Vanya/Viktor never really changed. She was just better at hiding it when she no longer had Dad's vigil, over bearing protection after she got medicated.

Allison never begrudge her sisters actions truly. She gets that having power, especially she assumes for her ordinary sibling, can get to your head. So having Reginald ready to wack down any of their siblings if she shed a few tears? She could understand. She forgives even more when she realizes her sister was just sick, mentally ill and needed help to deal with feelings like that because she couldn't handle them. When Vanya/Viktor becomes medicated and quieter, she assumes that's it. She's fixed, or better than before. She hears from Reginald years later her sister is kept on a personal medication plan and has a therapist, she is relieved and lets it go.

Klaus honestly doesn't give a shit most of the time. Mentally Ill sister? Ha, he'd be insane if he wasn't so high, though people still call him crazy anyway. So he has no place to judge. Plus, anyone would be a bit crazy after living in Reginalds house hold. He doesn't blame his little sis for that, at least she's dealing with it healthily, pills but legally given? A dream. Well maybe not because they don't seem much fun. Sometimes he wonders if Dad should've gotten him a schizophrenia test or something, but that's only on really, really bad days. Memories surface on those bad days as well, Vanya/Viktor's expression, or lack of, as he or a sibling got the worst of Dad's anger because Seven was upset about something. Big or small, didn't matter, the punishment was the same brutal reminder to not mess with her. Those days he finds another high and those thoughts become something to laugh about again instead of the horrible dread and hurt he remembers.

I also think about Vanya/Viktor, who probably never even knew her siblings were under the impression she had some type of personality disorder. Some type of mental illness that wasn't just anxiety, which she believes she has and is being treated for. Because it's not like any of them out right said it. It was sort of a unspoken but known truth to them all. It either seemed unnecessary to say it outloud or just rude to bring it up now that she was better. Then her book comes out, her side, her story and she learns her siblings all think she's some unstable, mentally ill, petty, downright wicked off her meds person. At least that's what's she's getting from these magazines covering her siblings reaction to her book.

mm i think it's mostly through doing little things for each other, like hitomi making a cute bento box for date, and him making her tea just the way she likes it (piping hot)

it probably took a veeery long time for them to feel comfortable with saying it out loud (but they knew. they knew), so maybe 2 yrs after getting into a relationship? and tbh i think hitomi said it first & date bluescreened at this. she loves him. she really loves him, despite everything. he's crying.

haha yeah about that. (boss & hitomi text often though. mostly worrying about date. disaster man.)

oh i think they support each other by just. being there for one another. doing little things to cheer up the other one, asking how to help, bouncing ideas off of each other. but when it gets Harder i think both of them (mostly date) bottle things up a lot until the other one (mostly hitomi) gets too worried to let that slide.

:( p sure they'd be afraid of considering an actual future together when you take into account What Happened Last Time (and in aini :// ), so it'd take like. a few good years until they feel comfortable enough to assume they wouldn't get separated again...

Okay some context setting: so when the cast encounters signora in RF nbd is there too. And since his family's whole thing is sharing a face with the anemo archon we thought it'd be funny if they did a little unintentional switcheroo with the two 😁

Signora can't tell who's the archon so she ends up targeting nbd because he runs his mouth more lol. And even if she's wrong, targeting someone from a family favoured by the god would surely draw him out (it does)

Now onto the thoughts!

Man if Venti wasn't fast enough and signora *got* got him,,,, Well for one Venti would be devastated. And nbd is the youngest of the descendants (around 17 as of now?), even younger than NB was towards the end of the rebellion. So I imagine that the other descendants would be somewhat doting and protective of the guy at times (not to mention his unspecified number of biological siblings) they would probably not take any of this well.

Though in this case the blame would likely go to signora first and foremost (rag d, who also lost his dad to the fatui: Maybe I will follow that diluc fellow and go on a fatui killing spree after all-) I can see the political relations between mond and the fatui straining even more because of this cuz no doubt shit got strained in canon but a death? One of a prominent family no less? Yeah that's not gonna slide.

But yeah I think looking at venti would hurt them all for a while. Ad would probably try to approach him the most since she was in on it the longest after nbd and knows venti more as a person. But she was also very close with nbd so oof.

Rag d and Kaeya would probably both need some time. Rag d is in on it and would know the reason but both he and Kaeya were raised very closely with nbd's family because the Ragnvindr line in RF was re-founded by NB via adoption (rip to red haired warrior, died bitchless) so uh that was basically their little brother??? Yeah. I wonder who would be more upset. The guy that knows that venti is a god and thus the reason why nbd had a target put on his back? Or the guy that only knows venti as the "cousin" that popped out of nowhere and has his suspicions about the guy. They'd both go and comfort nbd's family though

Speaking of nbd's family, they're also in the know. So would they look at their (warped and misinterpreted) duty differently? Death was never part of the deal so why did their youngest have to go? Would it be an honour to die with the anemo archon by his side? Or a tragedy because not even a god could stop it?

Jean would probably try to prioritise her duty before her own feelings but her grief might leak through while dealing with the political matters perhaps (maybe Ad will join her and finally use her political skills)

Eula swears vengeance and not just as a form of speaking. You killed her friend, one of the ones who defended her from the people (the other being amber ofc). Prepare to die.

Oh and Venti,,, I wonder what venti would do tbh. I see him as someone who has a good grasp and control over his emotions after so many years of learning to deal with them. But something that /gets/ him is his loved ones getting hurt. Also NB still gets shot in RF he just survives it so nbd getting hurt/killed would probably bring back some nastey memories. So would he let signora leave unscathed is the question 👀
